2025 Jorn Cup Preview
Picture this: You're standing on a beautiful green at Monarch Dunes. Dozens of people are watching you in anticipation. You squat down behind your ball, reading the most important putt you've ever taken. Are you a tour pro? No.  Are you even good at golf? Meh. Do you have an opportunity for glory? Yes!
This is the 2025 Jorn Cup, a trip to the beautiful San Luis Obispo area to decide who will walk away with their name etched on the soon to be famous Jorn Cup. Memories will be made, incredible golf shots will be hit (probably some not so good shots too), and a champion will be crowned. 
Jorn Cup Courses
Saturday Afternoon: Monarch Dunes
A beautiful yet challenging course in Nipomo, CA. Water hazards? 5 of them. Bunkers? 30 of them. Trees everywhere? You bet. With an index and slope similar to Tilden, this course will be a challenge worthy of the Jorn Cup.
Sunday Morning: Morro Bay
This hilly course just off the coastline in Morro Bay, CA boasts panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from Hole 1 to 18. With an index and slope similar to Lake Chabot, this course will offer a slightly easier round to decide the 2025 Squolf Champion.
Jorn Cup Rules
The Jorn Cup will be played over two days, with two cumulative rounds of stroke play. Saturday will be played at Monarch Dunes in Nipomo, CA and Sunday will be played at Morro Bay Golf Course in Morro Bay, CA.
Jorn Cup Champion vs Squolf 2025 Champion
A Jorn Cup Champion will be crowned separately from the league winner.  All 15 players will be eligible to prove they are the Ultimate Jorner. The player with the best cumulative net scores for the weekend will receive the Jorn Cup. The Top 8 from the regular season are also competing for the final rankings of the 2025 season. The same handicaps will apply, with the additional twist of bonus strokes. The lowest cumulative scorer from the Top 8 (after handicaps and bonus strokes) will be crowned the Champion of the Squolf 2025 season.
Bonus Strokes will be granted based on regular season performance. The lowest seed entering the Jorn Cup (8th) will receive no Bonus Strokes. For each 10 points you have above 8th place, you will receive one Bonus Stroke. Cal and Javier will receive 5 strokes, Alonso 4 strokes, and Brian 1 stroke. Bonus Strokes are the TOTAL for the Jorn Cup, not per round. 
Jorn Handicaps
To ensure maximum fairness, handicaps were calculated based on individual rounds played during the league season. Handicap strokes are normalized to the lowest handicap player in the league to simplify things. No mulligans and no breakfast balls.
